These are 9mm pinfire cartridges made by Braun & Bloem in Dusseldorff, Germany. They date from around 1890, give or take a few years. The back is marked with a raised BB over 9 for Braun & Bloem and the caliber of 9mm. They are intact with minor corrosion to the case. These were used in any 9mm pinfire including the pinfire revolvers used by both the North and South during the U.S. Civil War. The pins have a slight angle towards the back of the case, I'm told this helps avoid any interference with the cylinder's movement on revolvers. I thought it had to do with the natural angle at which the hammer fell.
