This is a Wurttemberg officer's sword. Most of the following information should be accurate, but I'm not sure on all of it. The sword is a Prussian Model 1889 infantry officer's sword. At that time, it was common for most other German states to place orders with Prussia to have their swords made there. I believe most were made in Soligen area. The fold out hand guard has the Wurttemberg coat of arms and the pommel has the Kings initials, I think. This sword was probably a later one, most likely made during WWI as it is simply black without any ornate gold leaf or plating, also the scabbard has a single ring which is a later specification, post 1908. This model sword was made from 1889 to 1918.
