This is a Spiratone Vario-Dupliscope Slide Duplicator. Similar to the Rokunar listed here, it is a neat little device that is meant to be a Zoom slide duplicator and an adjustable macro lens. It has a limited focus that is meant for fine adjustment. As a zoom slide duplicator, it is used complete with the slide carriage, the carriage adapter tube and the main lens. A mounted slide or strip of 35mm film can be placed in the carriage and moved side to side and the carriage itself can be moved up and down. This allows you to find the area of the slide that you want to zoom in on. The amount of zoom is achieved by adjusting the slide tube at the back of the lens. This tube is basically an attached extension tube. As a macro lens, the carriage and it's adapter are removed and magnification is again achieved by the slide tube.
