This is a Sigma Multi 200mm Scalematic YS Telephoto Lens. It utilizes the YS mount. This lens has Sigma's "System Focusing". This is a secondary focusing ring that allows for close up photography. It automatically resets when the focus ring is turned to infinity. You will note the f stops in green and yellow, you should only attempt to use the "System Focusing" while in the green range. It's a neat feature, but requires a decent amount of light to achieve good results. The lens in normal focusing mode works fine. The reproduction ratio is 1:1/3. This lens can accept either a 52mm or 62mm filter. This lens also features Sigma's Scalematic System. The Scalematic System lets the user prefocus the lens to photograph moving objects or other items where it may be hard to achieve quick focus. This is achieved by estimating the size of the subject being photographed, setting the lens using that measurement on the Scalematic scale attached to the lens and then filling the viewfinder with the subject. There are two scales provided, one for when using the viewfinder in the vertical position and one for the horizontal position. Conversely, you can fill the viewfinder with an object, focus, and then read the size of the object of the scale. A gimmick, but it does work.

The YS mount is basically an auto diaphragm T-mount system. It utilizes the same dimensions and thread pitch as a T-mount. The point of the YS system was to have an auto lens that could be used on any auto camera with the correct YS adapter, while allowing the retention of that camera's auto diaphragm system.
