This is a Lux "Minute Meter" kitchen timer, probably dating to 1950's. It has an all metal body and face with a black, full width plastic knob. It sounds a loud, single chime at the end of the cycle. These are more commonly seen with the "Minute Minder" name on front and the narrow knob.
